นายกรัฐมนตรีเนทันยาฮูได้สั่งการให้หัวหน้าสภาความมั่นคงแห่งชาติส่งคณะผู้เชี่ยวชาญไปให้ความช่วยเหลือประเทศไทย หลังเหตุการณ์แผ่นดินไหวที่เกิดขึ้นในหลายพื้นที่เมื่อวานนี้ โดยมีกระทรวงการต่างประเทศและกระทรวงกลาโหมของอิสราเอลร่วมประสานงานความช่วยเหลือในครั้งนี้

คณะผู้เชี่ยวชาญมีกำหนดออกเดินทางไปยังประเทศไทยคืนนี้ เวลา 22:30 น. โดยสายการบินเอลอัล นำโดย พันเอก (กองหนุน) โยสซี ปินโต ผู้บัญชาการหน่วยกู้ภัยแห่งชาติ พร้อมด้วยเจ้าหน้าที่อีก 21 นาย

คณะผู้เชี่ยวชาญจะให้ความช่วยเหลือในการรวบรวมข้อมูลด้านปฏิบัติการกู้ภัยสำหรับประชาชน รวมถึงการประเมินโครงสร้างทางวิศวกรรมของพื้นที่ที่ได้รับความเสียหาย และจะปฏิบัติงานจนกว่าจะช่วยเหลือผู้ติดอยู่ใต้ซากอาคารได้ทั้งหมด

Prime Minister Netanyahu instructed the head of the National Security Council to dispatch an expert delegation to assist Thailand following the earthquake that struck the region, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense.

The delegation will depart for Thailand tonight at 22:30 on an El Al flight. The mission will be led by Col. (Res.) Yossi Pinto, commander of the National Rescue Unit, and will include 21 additional personnel.

The delegation will assist in gathering intelligence for population-based rescue operations and engineering assessments at the collapsed site and will operate until the last trapped individual is rescued.
